

U.S. CONGRESSMAN RALPH HALL TO ATTEND ‘WOMEN IN NEED’ CHARITY COOKOUT & AUCTION ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 21, 2010

GREENVILLE, TX – 8/19/2010 – The Best Western Monica Royale Inn & Suites and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites of Greenville, Texas are proud to announce that US Congressman Ralph Hall will be attending the ‘Women In Need’ Charity Cookout & Auction this Saturday, August 21, 2010. Congressman Hall will also be donating a United States Flag which was flown over the United States Capitol building to be auctioned off to benefit ‘Women In Need’. The auction will begin at 7:00 pm at the Best Western Monica Royale.
ABOUT CONGRESSMAN RALPH HALL
Ralph M. Hall, representing the Fourth Congressional District in Texas, was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1980 and has been re-elected to each succeeding Congress. Congressman Hall was selected as Ranking Member of the Committee on Science and Technology for the 111th Congress and received a waiver to continue as a Member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, where he serves on the Energy and Air Quality, and Health, and Commerce. Between 1950 and 1962, Mr. Hall served as County Judge of Rockwall County, Texas. In 1958-1959, he served as President of the State Judges and Commissioners Association. He served in the Texas Senate from 1962 to 1972, where he served as President Pro Tempore in 1968-1969. Ralph M. Hall was born in Fate (Rockwall County), Texas, on May 3, 1923, attended the public schools in Rockwall and graduated from Rockwall High School.
DETAILS OF THE EVENT
The event will kick off at 5:00 pm with a cookout of hamburgers and hot dogs at the Best Western Monica Royale, 3001 Mustang Crossing in Greenville, TX. The charity auction will commence at 7:00 pm. 'Bikers Against Child Abuse' will also be attending with fun tattoos for the kids.
The big raffle prize will be drawn at the conclusion of the auction. The raffle contains a certificate for ‘Supplier Pricing’ from Britain Chevrolet for any new Chevrolet vehicle, plus any incentives or rebates from General Motors. Estimated worth of this certificate is around $3000.

ABOUT WOMEN IN NEED
WOMEN IN NEED (WIN) was established in 1981 as a nonprofit, local charity for Hunt County providing services for victims of family violence. Believing that homes should be peaceful, WIN strives to educate families broken apart by violence to live by nonviolent means. By providing shelter to victims of family violence, working towards increased knowledge of the problem, and stressing viable solutions, the purpose of WIN is to eliminate family violence locally and to be a part of a widespread movement to create a society that no longer tolerates the abuse of power through violence or any other means.
