"Rachel's Challenge" Event, November 17th
Cumby ISD along with Cumby Telephone Cooperative is excited to announce on Nov. 17th We are hosting Rachel’s Challenge. This is a Community wide program to: inspire, equip and empower every person to create a permanent positive culture change in their school, business, and community by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion. The Cumby Telephone Cooperative Board is cooking hamburgers for all that attend the Parent and Community involvement presentation. If you live in our community or own a business in our community you are welcome. There is no cost for the meal!

Tuesday November 10, 2010 was a big day at Cumby Elementary. 32 students from Mrs. Colfax and Mrs. Sawyers 5th grade classes Graduated from the D.A.R.E. Program put on by the Hopkins County Sheriffs Office. D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives. Deputy Brad Cummings teaches the program at all six county schools. The Hopkins County Sheriffs Office and local sponsors fund the program; Cumby Telephone is a proud supporter.
