Lone Star Quilt Show
by: Bobby McDonald
Think you might want to take-up the art of quilting? Or, like me, just admire the artisanship of those who work with fabrics to make works of art? Well, the 11th Annual Lone Star Quilt Show is the place for you. They have their exhibits open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Friday, in the Sulphur Springs High School Gym and will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Saturday.
Awards will be presented at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday and the drawing for the raffle quilt will be presented at 2:45 p.m., on Saturday. And, speaking of the raffle quilt, it is a beautifully handcrafted work of art, with chances for $1.00 each, and proceeds going to help fund the many community activities the ladies promote all year in the local area.
Make the 11th Annual Lone Star Quilt Show one of your many stops at this year's Hopkins County Fall Festival.

And, enjoy these shots from my early morning visit!
