PJC to Host TAMU-C Classes

Paris Junior College will host three classes for 
students enrolled in the EC-6 program at Texas A&M University-
Commerce, according to Pam Hunt, Director of Learning Skills at PJC.

             Students will have to register for the classes through 
TAMU-C but the classes will be delivered on the PJC campus. Each of 
the three classes will meet from August 31 through December 18. 
Textbooks must be purchased through the bookstore at TAMU-C.

             The classes to be offered include RDG 350 Reading and 
Literacy I that meets each Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:30-10:45 
a.m.  Department approval required with a minimum overall GPA of 
2.50, and students must have passed TSI requirements. Fifteen 
additional hours of observation are required.

             RDG 360 Word Analysis Skills. Department approval 
required, The class meets each Wednesday from 4:30-7 p.m. Pre or co-
requisite: ELED 300.  Students must have a minimum overall GPA of 
2.50 and must have passed TSI requirements.

             ELED 300 Introduction to Teaching will be held each 
Monday and Wednesday from 2:30-3:45 p.m. Department approval is 
required and students must have passed TSI requirements. Fifteen 
additional hours of observation are required.
