Meredith Caddell, with the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce, welcomes Barbara Palmer, right,
owner of Pioneer Cafe, as a new member on Wednesday morning.

"Hitch up the wagon and come on down!" invites Barbara Palmer, owner of Pioneer Cafe, as she hosted a Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, on Wednesday, to mark the one year anniversary of her establishment at 307 Main Street. "We invite everyone to come enjoy the Western experience and sample some of our home cooking, made especially to order!"

"We try to make food that the people of Hopkins County enjoy!" continued Barbara. "I enjoy cooking and have some of the best wait staff anywhere. They know how to 'pitch-in' and get it done! You'll be impressed by our service and the great foods.....from chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes, to fried okra, sliced tomatoes, salads of all kinds, and desserts to 'slap your Mama about,' as you enjoy a homecooked meal!"

A large crowd of patrons and friends gathered on Wednesday morning to welcome Barbara Palmer and her
staff as new members of the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce and to celebrate their 1st Anniversary.

"In this day of fast food, eaten on the go, we feel it's great to have the opportunity to enjoy food that most all of us 'crave,' but seldom have the time to cook at home!" explained Barbara. "It's that good comfort food, that we want, but are too busy going to the ball games, the school activities, and the dance recitals, to have time to prepare. We do it for you and you can enjoy it in a comfortable nostalgic atmosphere!"

The walls of Pioneer Cafe are reflective of the history of Hopkins County, with a variety of Western memorabilia, branding irons, old Hopkins County photographs, a steer hide, and Western movie posters. "It's worth the trip to Pioneer Cafe, just to look at all the Western and historic decor," advised one Wednesday lunch patron. "I just love all of this historic decor!"

Barbara hosted Wednesday's Ribbon Cutting and complemented the community and staff in helping her get the business established in Hopkins County. "Hopefully, everyone has had a chance to come by and sample our food, but if you haven't the 'welcome mat' is always extended," advised Barbara. "And, we'll be cooking-up something tasty for you, when put on your boots and decide to go Western!"

The interior decor at Pioneer Cafe invites you to "Go Western" as you sample their full lunch and
breakfast menus.

Pioneer Cafe is open Monday thru Friday, 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., serving lunch and breakfast menus.

"Shine up the boots and come on down, to Pioneer Cafe!"

Historic and Western memorabilia decorate all the walls in Pioneer Cafe.
