Sixteen year-old, Hannah Kirby, was a featured performer on the fiddle, at
Saturday night's Reilly Springs Jamboree.
If you like music (and who doesn't), it certainly wasn't a problem for you to find a place to go on Saturday night, in Hopkins County. The League Street Church of Christ hosted their Gospel Songfest 2010, that included the Harding University Choir, while shows in Pickton and Reilly Springs featured Gospel, Bluegrass and Country and Western music venues, as well.
"You certainly had a choice of what venue to attend, tonight!" exclaimed one local couple, who chose to attend the monthly Pickton Bluegrass and Gospel venue. "We decided to drive down to Pickton and enjoy the good Bar-B-Q, that they offer to eat, and take in the show!"
This talented performer from "On My Way" lent the lonesome sound of a harmonica to
Saturday night's show at Pickton Bluegrass and Gospel.

Pickton Bluegrass and Gospel, that usually features three bands each month, was short one band on Saturday night, due to the death in the family of one group. However, "On My Way" and a large band, "Wanda Caldwell and The Joyful Notes," took-up the slack and provided a full-length show for those who attended. "That's what is so great about all these bands," exclaimed one of the Pickton attendees. "They work together and present a great show, regardless of what happens!"
The large band that comprised the "Wanda Caldwell and the Joyful Notes Band" delighted the crowd
in Pickton, on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, simultaneously, Enola Gay and her friends were hosting their own version of "The Reilly Springs Jamboree" at the Reilly Springs Community Center. This venue featured a number of local entertainers.....including Brandon Reed, Hannah Kirby, Tommy Peugh, Roger Reed, Joe Clark, Gary Knight, Brian Reed, Rickey Rainey, and Joe Reynolds. The entertainers presented both Country and Western and Gospel selections, including a special feature rendition on the fiddle by sixteen year-old, Hannah Kirby, of Sulphur Springs.

Tommy Peugh blends his voice in a Gospel selection at Saturday night's Reilly Springs Jamboree.
"We certainly has plenty of musical talent in Hopkins County, on Saturday night!" allowed Enola Gay. "It's a great way to spend a Saturday night, among friends and neighbors and enjoy some great music! We're so fortunate to have such wonderful talent coming here to Hopkins County, for everyone to enjoy!"
Drummer, Joe Clark, blends his own sound with the band at Reilly Springs.
Vocalist and steel player, Joe Reynolds lends his talent to this Gospel selection.
