Is Texas Heritage National Bank's Kregg Slakey going to be a bullfighter, this year?

Business leaders attending Thursday's Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event, hosted by Texas Heritage National Bank, learned that the PBR Bullriding Challenge will be returning to Hopkins County for the third straight year, on August 13th and 14th. Texas Heritage National Bank, the local key sponsor, has been joined by Priefert Manufacturing and ProTrak Trailers.

The PBR Challenge Team announced an even bigger and better show for 2010, with tickets
going on sale in July, left to right, are Jay Weddle, Holly Leiferman, and Jim McClain.

"We're excited about again bringing the PBR to Hopkins County and joining these great people from the PBR in bringing our community another exciting event," expressed Joe Don Mashburn and Kregg Slakey, officers at Texas Heritage National Bank. "It's great for the folks of a community this size, to be able to have a show of this magnitude and we're excited about being one of the key sponsors, once again!"

Last year's bull owners brought some 85 bulls to the Civic Center for
a number of events, and this year, they are expected to bring some 160 bulls
that will compete for a number of prizes among the owners, making the
show that much more fun!

Members of the PBR Challenge outlined the explicit changes that are being made for this year's show. "We wanted everyone to be able to attend this year's show, so we're offering $10.00 general admission tickets, and reserve seating for only $20.00," expressed Jay Weddle, a member of the PBR Team. "We know the economy is 'sluggish' and that folks are looking for a great deal, so we decided to make it affordable to everyone, for a great show! Tickets will go on sale, in July."

Holly Leiferman will be wearing "dual hats" during this year's PBR Challenge, as she coordinates
the advertising and announced that she will now be working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Also, the PBR, in an effort to "give back" to the host communities, have chosen Northeast Texas Make-A-Wish Foundation to be their charity of choice, for this year's show. On hand for Thursday's announcement were Jennifer, Matthew, and Mark Roberts, who were one of this year's recipients of a local gift from the foundation.

Members of the PBR and Make-A-Wish Foundation joined Jennifer, Matthew, and Mark Roberts,
who received a gift this year for a trip to Disneyland.

Members of the Hopkins County business community visited, drew for door prizes, and networked with fellow chamber members and business owners, at Thursday's gala event, and learned all about the exciting PBR action, compliments of Texas Heritage National Bank.
