PBR Action "Gets Rugged"
On Saturday Night!!!
by: Bobby McDonald

It was tough cowboys and even tougher bulls, that made their way to the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, for Saturday night's second night of PBR, before a packed crowd. With names like "High Alert," "Electric Slide," "Life Sentence," "Howlin' Waters," and "Red Hot," it was no wonder that the stakes became high, and many that follow the bullriding circuit were "on their seats" as top PBR bull "Black Pearl" got ready to go into action. The bull proved his station in the standings!

However, with some quick action by the Daisy Bull Fighting Teams, and an answer to prayers offered at the beginning of the contest, injuries were kept to a minimum.

During the Saturday night PBR event, the organization paid tribute to local volunteer firefighters for the work they do in our community, and then during a "half-time" intermission, they called Sulphur Springs Wildcat Coach Greg Owens "out of the cage" and presented him with a token recognition of the 2008 State 4-A Football Championship.

It was a night to remember, with fierce competition, rank bulls, tough cowboys, and the naming of champions!
Enjoy the following photos and see who was named the ultimate winners in the second night of action!
