Following a day of meeting with fans at local banks and businesses, it was off to the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, for a night of "fierce" action in the rodeo arena, for bull riders and bullfighters, as the first night of the PBR Texas Heritage Bank Challenge unfolded.

Cowboys pitted their strength against some of the toughest bulls available and produced a quality show that named a number of winners. "These cowboys are actually riding these tough bulls!" exclaimed the announcer, as a number of the cowboys managed to make qualified rides.

"And, these are some of the toughest and most agile bulls we've seen in a number of outings," continued the announcer, as described the action before him.

At intermission, the winners of the Circle E Western Wear Stick Bull Competition was on-hand to entertain the crowd, full of adoring fans.

Enjoy the following photos from Friday night's action and look for the standings after the first night of action, in both the bull riding and the bullfighting categories.
