Offers Session in January

The Small Business Development Center at Paris Junior College will
offer workshops and free counseling for new and existing small
businesses during the month of January, according to Director Pat Bell.
The Live the Dream! Workshop will be offered from 9-11 a.m. on Friday,
January 7. This free workshop will include information needed to
start a small business. Topics will include legal requirements of
starting a business including the different forms of business
organization and their advantages and disadvantages, conducting a
feasibility study, writing a business plan, types of financing
available for a start-up business, and what lenders want to know, as
well as information on SBA guaranteed loan programs.
Government Contracting 101 will be offered from 10:00 am-12 Noon on
Tuesday, January 11. Topics for this course include regulations,
uniform contract format, contract types, electronic commerce (EC), and
more to help you succeed in government contracting.
The QuickBooks business accounting class will be offered each Friday,
January 7-28, 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Learn how to use QuickBooks to keep
accurate records for your business, generate helpful reports to manage
your business, and track payables, inventory and receivables.

Walters Workforce Training Center on Clarksville Street, West Entrance.
Free, confidential counseling to start or expand a small business is
offered by appointment in Paris every Monday and Tuesday at the Small
Business Development Center located at 1405 S. Collegiate. To make an
