"Oklahoma" Opens to Rave Reviews,
One Last Performance, Monday Night
by: Bobby McDonald
If you haven't made your way to the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, to see the Sulphur Springs High School Drama Department's production of Oklahoma, you've only got one chance left, as the final performance is scheduled for Monday night,
November 22nd. "It's just one of the opportunities that no one wants to miss!" exclaimed Sulphur Springs High School Superintendent, Patsy Bolton. "Of course, I know I'm prejudiced, but this is just an outstanding performance by the cast and crew and one of the most beloved musicals of all times! I can't imagine anyone not enjoying themselves and being entertained!"
"From the costumes, to the staging, to the music and the presentation, it is just awesome!" continued Bolton. "The kids have done an outstanding job and I can't imagine what Dawn Doyle has 'up her sleeve' to top this!"
"It's the type performance you'd travel to Dallas and get your tickets a couple of months in advance," inserted another devoted fan. "How fortunate we are to have a drama department in a high school, the size of Sulphur Springs, with this kind of talent and direction!"

The Civic Center Auditorium has been "packed" for both the Saturday night and Sunday afternoon performances, with a number of other entertainment venues, including basketball tournaments, the UPRA Rodeo, and other activities, competing. You will want to make certain that you call Sulphur Springs High School and get your tickets, early on Monday, to insure that you have a seat for the final performance.
Hats off to Dawn Doyle and her cast and crew for bringing this community another outstanding production!
