North Hopkins Announces

Class of 2010

 

North Hopkins High School announces the Class of 2010. The Class will walk across the stage and receive their diplomas on June 5, 2010, in North Hopkins Long Gymnasium. Baccalaureate Services will be held at North Hopkins High School Gymnasium, on Sunday, May 30, at 7:30 p.m.

Leading the Class of 2010, is the Class Valedictorian, Tana Hall, the daughter of James and Lana Hall, sister of Christina, Mattie and Conner Hall. Throughout her high school career she has participated in Basketball, Volleyball and Softball.She has competed in UIL Academics in Editorial, Informative and CX Debate, she received All Star Cast for this year's performance. She is an active member and president of BETA and Student Council, she is also a member of FCA, Student Government, Leadership she attends Central Baptist Church. She is a DARE role model and received Student of the Month her junior and senior year. Following graduation her plans are to attend Texas A&M-Commerce, where she received a full, four-year scholarship. She plans to be a child psychologist, and after grad school, start practicing either in North Hopkins or Sulphur Springs.

Class Salutatorian is Elizabeth Shaw, the daughter of Chris and Jana Shaw, and sister of Shelby, Blake and Whitney Shaw. She was involved in Volleyball and Softball and was also a Regional qualifier in Persuasive Speaking and State qualifier in LD Debate. She was an active member of Alliance Bank Junior Advisory Board, BETA Vice President, and was the 2010 Class Vice President. She was Homecoming Queen nominee and was Prom Queen of 2010. Her plans are to attend Texas A&M-Commerce so she can become a Teacher and Coach.
