North Hopkins FFA Hosts
Hamburger Supper & Auction, Saturday
by: Bobby McDonald
It was a large crowd of supporters that made their way to North Hopkins School, on Saturday night, to support the North Hopkins FFA, as they hosted their annual Hamburger Supper and Auction. Hamburgers with all the trimmings, homemade desserts, and drinks were served, as well as a wide variety of items donated by local businesses available in the auction. Several shopmade items, built by the FFA members were also auctioned.

"It's our annual fundraising activity to support trips to State Convention, Livestock Shows, Ag Mechanics Shows, and Leadership Contests," advised North Hopkins Vocational Agriculture Teacher, Johnny Lennon. "We work in the shop and build projects that we think will sell in the auction and then grill hamburgers and furnish all the trimmings. I want to thank the parents who provided the desserts and have worked so hard to help us organize this annual event!"

Business owners from across Hopkins County, individual supporters, and parents of the students were on-hand to bid on the items, that were auctioned, with the items bringing a premium, to provide funds for the chapter.
"Thanks is extended to everyone who came out and supported us tonight!" expressed the North Hopkins FFA Officers. "It's great to see the support we have in the community and across Hopkins County!"
