North Hopkins 5th Grade Makes Christmas
Merry For Those Less Fortunate
Press Release North Hopkins School
North Hopkins ISD 5th graders spent the $530 they won in the Penny War
on items given to local charities. 40 fith graders along with two of
their teachers went to Wal-Mart and bought canned and dry goods that
were donated to the Feed the Need food pantry, a mission project of
Central Baptist Church. The food pantry is located at the CAN HELP
building on Gilmer St. They also purchased toys that were donated to
the Blue Santa charity operated out of the Hopkins County sheriffs
Office. The students did very well in their purchases and enjoyed
being able to give to those less fortunate.
