Texas’ Largest Small Business Group Endorses Mark Homer for Texas HD 3
AUSTIN, October 13, 2010 – The Texas office of the National Federation of Independent Business, the state’s largest small business association, today announced its endorsement of Mark Homer in Texas House District 3.
"Mark is the proven, pro-small business candidate in this race," said NFIB/Texas Executive Director Will Newton. "His policy positions have indicated his support for the small business community. We know he will continue to work to promote a fair and equitable tax structure for the business community, and will make job growth and economic stability a priority during the upcoming legislative session.”
NFIB's political support is based on the candidates' positions and records on small business issues. Homer’s endorsement comes from NFIB SAFE (Save America's Free Enterprise) Trust, the organization's political action committee. The endorsement brings the considerable grassroots support of Texas’ small business owners to the Homer campaign.

“Small business is responsible for about 80% of the job creation in the United States, and even more than that in Northeast Texas,” said Homer. “I'm proud to be a small business owner, proud to represent small business in Austin and proud to have the NFIB endorsement. I intend to continue my work protecting our jobs and our future during the next legislative session.”
Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the influential small business voting bloc on Election Day. According to NFIB polling data, small business owners and their employees make up 43 percent of registered voters in America.
