52 New Teachers Welcomed
to SSISD at Friday Morning Reception

Sulphur Springs ISD welcomed 52 new teachers to the system, at a Friday morning reception, conducted in the Board Room of the Administration Building, on Connally Street. The 9:00 a.m. reception featured the new personnel meeting members of the board of education, staff, and members of the local business community, as they were welcomed to our community.
"What is most impressive to me is that sixteen of you are former graduates of Sulphur Springs ISD," expressed Superintendent of Schools, Patsy Bolton, in her welcome. "That says something for our school system, that we've educated and encouraged you and you've chosen to come back and bring your knowledge and skills to help prepare others with the same experiences!"

with Assistant Superintendent, Randy Reed, at Friday morning's reception.
Bolton introduced each of the new teachers, and told the field of study and campus they would be working with, and then introduced the SSISD Board of Education and key staff members, to familiarize the new employees with the local system. "We began this day of introduction a few years ago, for the new teachers, so that they would be more familiar with our system, before in-service begins on Monday," related Bolton. "Giving our new teachers 'a little extra' to become familiar with everything, before everyone arrives on the first day of inservice."
In-Service for local SSISD teachers begins on Monday, August 16th, and first day of classes for students is Monday, August 23rd.
