Local area resident, Lynda Davidson, will present a Classical Christmas concert at the Mt. Vernon Music Hall, Saturday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m. The program will be familiar Christmas carols in the setting of classical piano compositions. The free concert is to be shared and treasured with friends and community as a perfect way to end the day. The program selections will include:
The First Noel with Tchaikovsky’s B flat Minor Piano Concerto
O Come, O Come, Emmanuel with Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude
Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella with Sinding’s Rustles of Spring
Silent Night with Debussy’s Clair de Lune
Carol of the Bells with Rachmaninoff’s Prelude, op. 3, no. 2
O Holy Night arr. Mark Hayes
Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah arr. Dino Kartsonakis
Lynda Davidson is the daughter of Opal Brinlee and sister of Sherry Chester both of Sulphur Springs. Lynda and her husband Paul reside in Mt, Pleasant. The performance will take place in Mt, Vernon, home to her high school Alma Mater.
