Lady Trojans Win and Miller Grove Hornets Take
2nd Place in Weekend Tournament, at MG

"It was basketball at its finest," exclaimed Miller Grove Basketball Coach Gary Billingsley, as he described the action in the weekend Miller Grove Basketball Tournament. "We played hard and our team just wasn't on the receiving end of a very, very close overtime battle!"
"Dallas Gateway, did us in!" quipped Billingley, as he talked of the game that landed the Hornets in 2nd place in weekend action, before the home crowd..
In the Boys Bracket of the tournament, it was Miller Grove pitted against the Dallas Gateway Team in the Championship match-up on Saturday night, and the hardwood action came down to an overtime game, with the Hornets falling to Gateway, 75-77.
The Cumby Lady Trojans won the Miller Grove Tournament, with a 46-42 win over the Lone Oak Lady Buffaloes.
