
Miller Grove School Hosts
Kindergarten & Pre-K Roundup
The administration at Miller Grove Elementary School has announced plans for a Kindergarten and Pre-K "round-up," to be conducted Monday, March 22nd thru Friday, March 26th. Parents of students in the Miller Grove ISD should contact the school, in the elementary offices, and get their child enrolled for the 2010-11 year.
To be elgible to enroll for next year, students must be three or four years of age, on or before September 1st, for Pre-K classes and must be five, on or before September 1st, for Kindergarten enrollment. Before complete enrollment is acquired, parents must have a birth certificate for the child, a Social Security card, and immunization records reflective that the child has had all of their shots. Parents will need to supply proof of residency in the Miller Grove ISD and a picture identification, as well as custody records for those children who live in multi-family homes.
Tuition Free pre-kindergarten classes are provided via application, and applications will be screened by the administration, based on the following:
1) the ability to speak and comprehend the English language.
2) educational disadvantaged students who meet the guidelines for the National School Lunch Program.
3) be homeless.
4) a child of an active duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces.
5) those students in the foster care program and protective services.

Tuition Free Pre-Kindergarten is available on a "first come, first serve" basis to students who qualify giving precedence to those who meet the above guidelines.
