Lone Star Quilters Plan
11th Anniversary Quilt Show
With Fall Festival
by: Bobby McDonald

The local Lone Star Quilters organization is already making plans for their 11th appearance at the Hopkins County Fall Festival. Members have announced that they plan on having approximately 140 quilts on display in the Sulphur Springs High School Gym, on September 17th and 18th.
They will be presenting cash prizes and ribbons to winners in a number of categories, for the exhibit quilts and then will conduct a "Viewer's Choice" contest, for the quilt that those attending the show choose as the one they like the best.

Vendors, quilting demonstrations, a silent auction, and the awarding of the 2010 Raffle Quilt to the lucky winner, will be other activities that are associated with this year's show. This year's raffle quilt is appropriately entitled "Summers End," and chances to win the quilt can be purchased for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
The doors to this year's show open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17th, and will remain open until 5:00 p.m. Then, on Saturday, September 18th, the doors will open at 9:00 a.m. and remain until the show ends at 3:00 p.m.

Mark your calendars and make plans to come out and enjoy the 11th Annual Lone Star Quilt Show and the many activities associated with it, as part of your 2010 Fall Festival activities.
