"Fit for Kings and Queens"
A Royal Invitation to the
2011 Lights of Life Gala
by: Bobby McDonald
2011 Gala Chairs, Tom and Pam Sellers, invite everyone out
to share in benefiting Hopkins County Health Care.
"Fit for Kings and Queens" were the "buzz" words that were circulating around the entrance to the Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday afternoon, as members of the 2011 Lights of Life Gala Committee met for an official portrait and began revealing plans for this year's event. The 2011 Gala, chaired by Tom and Pam Sellers, is scheduled for Saturday night, January 15, 2011, at the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center.
Tuesday afternoon, the committee met, complete with a horse and carriage, supplied by "Lots a Spots" Carriage Company, in Campbell. "I'm more than happy to help with furnishing the carriage for this event," expressed Jodie Fry, with "Lot's of Spots" Carriage Company. "My family moved here, years ago, when I was a young adult and before we knew anyone in the community, my father passed away. The excellent care that we received at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital made an impact on my family's life, and I'm forever grateful to the local hospital for meeting our family's needs!"

"We're ecstatic about having already reached $50,000.00 of our $110,000.00 goal," announced Tom and Pam, Tuesday night. "It's great that members of this community continue to support our healthcare system and this important event in Hopkins County!"
The Hosptial Foundation has "earmarked" this year's fundraising goals to purchase a van, to be used to transpot rehab/care unit patients, broadening the borders of healthcare in Hopkins County, for those who so desperately need it, and many times must depend on volunteers to transport them for treatments. "We feel this is a great need in our community and allows those suffering continue to maintain a level of independence, when seeking their treatments!"
Make your plans to purchase tickets for this year's "A Royal Touch" and enjoy an evening of quality entertainment, "black tie" dining, and a wonderful array of auction items, all to benefit health care in Hopkins County. Mark your calendar for January 15th, 2011!
A storybook night......Lots A Spots Carriage Service, of Campbell, provided the horsedrawn carriage, to "set the mood"
for this year's 2011 Lights of Life Gala, that will adopt the theme "A Royal Touch."
