Local Halloween Carnivals
Provide Traditional Fun For Youth

With this weekend, local schools began the tradition of hosting Halloween carnivals at their schools to provide fun, entertainment, and memories for local youth. Can you remember participating in those fun games, as a child? Accompanying your friends on a "scary" hayride, that passed by a local cemetery? Winning a prize in the cake walk or in the "go fishin' booth?"

Lamar Elementary hosted their Halloween Carnival on Friday night and Sulphur Bluff School hosted theirs, that night, as well. With horseback rides, train rides, and hay-bale mazes, there was plenty of fun for children of all ages.

Travis Elementary School will be hosting a carnival on Monday night, October 19th, and Como-Pickton School will be hosting theirs next weekend, among others in the area. So, take advantage of these opportunities to get out and have some fun and support the local youth!

Enjoy these photos of the carnival at Lamar Elementary, that will hopefully bring back some childhood memories of your own!
