Performance School

Lamar Elementary has been recognized by the Texas Education Agency as a Distinguished Performance School for outstanding academic performance.  In order to be recognized as a Distinguished Performance School a campus must meet the following criteria:

• Be identified as a Title I campus for the last 3 years
• Have 40% or more low-income students in the current school year
• Have met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in the 2005 and 2006 school year
• Be identified as an Exemplary School in 2006
• Be identified as an Exemplary or Recognized School in 2005
• Be identified as an Exemplary or Recognized School in 2004
