It was a great night of volleyball when the Sulphur Springs Lady Wildcats traveled to Cumby to take-on the state-ranked Cumby Lady Trojans, for an inter-county pre-district matchup. The Lady Cats soon found out the reason that the Lady Trojans are "making marks" in volleyball history, as they varsity Lady Trojans defeated the Lady Cats in three sets.

The Lady Cats JV defeated the Lady Trojans JV and the Cumby Freshman Team managed to the defeat the Lady Cat Freshmen.

"We've not faced anyone with this level of play, all season," expressed one Lady Cats fan. "You can certainly see why the Lady Trojans are ranked in the state and the reason they went as deep as they did in the play-offs last year. They're a group of girls that have great communication on the court and know the game of volleyball! The Lady Trojan Varsity is going to do very, very well this season!"
