Lady Cats Win District Opener
37-32, Over T-High

It was great effort by the Sulphur Springs Lady Wildcats, before a home crowd, as they won their opening game in district play against the T-High Lady Tigers, 37-32. The Lady Cats led throughout the match-up and thwarted a surge by T-High during the last quarter, to take the win.

 

 

 

Leading by as many as 11 points, early in the second period, the Lady Cats had a comfortable 11-5 lead, following the first quarter, but saw the Lady Tigers, "cut-away" at that lead, during the second period. The Lady Cats led only 21-18 at the halftime intermission.

 

 

 

However, it was a great effort by the Lady Cats, keeping their poise, and handling the ball, to claim the victory, as the Lady Tigers "got within" two points of the Lady Cats, during the fourth quarter.
