Little Landri Lawrence, of Muleshoe, Texas, joined family and friends
in celebrating at Lake Quitman, as she dressed for the occasion.

It was a day of celebration all across the greater Hopkins County Area, as residents participated in 4th of July Parades, met with family and friends at picnics, and enjoyed the local lakes for a respite from the triple-digit temperatures that prevailed in the area. Then, the finale of the day was spectacular fireworks shows, that lit the sky and marked the 233 Anniversary of our nation!

Lake Quitman, in neighboring Wood County, was the destination of many Hopkins County residents who met with family and friends for a "wide-spread" array of foods and celebration, that featured boating, parades, and the nighttime fireworks display, that has become a tradition on the lake.
