Genesis 13:15-17
15 “for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever. 16 I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if one can count the dust of the earth, your offspring also can be counted. 17 Arise, walk through the length and the breadth of the land, for I will give it to you.”
As a believer, God doesn’t want you to going through life viewing things from an earthly, human perspective. As a human, you will naturally look at life with limits and boundaries, in other words, you will naturally put things in boxes. Think about creation for a moment. Despite early beliefs, God did not create the earth in the shape of box, He made a sphere. Boxes have different corners, sides, and easily measurable dimensions while a sphere has no boundaries whatsoever. This is the way God thinks…without limits. so you car rest assured that His thoughts for you and the good things He has in store are limitless also. In the very beginning, when He spoke light into existence, light burst forth in every direction all at once and it has not stopped going forth since. It is still moving at the speed of light in every direction. This is was what He was trying to show Abram in today’s text. Everything that Abram could fathom, in every direction was going to belong to him through his descendants, even through he currently didn’t have a single child. His plans and thoughts for you are just as grand. What can you do to take the limits off of God in your life? He’s trying to show you things that you may not be able to fathom yet. But if you stick with Him, He will bring you to that place of fulfillment. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
