Sulphur Springs Rotary Club Donates Claws for a Cause Proceeds to Twenty Local Organizations and Six High School Seniors

Sulphur Springs Rotary Club distributed proceeds from their annual Claws For A Cause event to twenty local organizations and six high school Seniors at their weekly meeting last Thursday. Claws for a Cause raised a record amount that was just shy of $34,000 and ALL of it was distributed to the organizations and students.

Seniors Peyton Baugh, Carissa Carter, Kelsey Horton, Madelyn Ray, Amy Sprague, and Caitlyn Williams received scholarships totaling $13,400.

The twenty organizations receiving grants were Bright Star Baseball, CAN Help, CASA, Civil Air Patrol, DFW Honor Flight, Dinner Bell, Empty Stocking, Heritage Christian Counseling, Hopkins County Community Chest, Hopkins County Community Health/Wellness, Hopkins County Free Dental Day, Hopkins County Genealogical Society, Hopkins County Healthcare Foundation, Hopkins County Veterans Memorial, Lil 4s Club Lord’s Work Food Pantry, NETLA, Scout Troop 69, Star Foundation, and Teen Court.
