John 2:1-3
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”

If you’re like everyone else on planet Earth, you have had things take place in your life that you’re not proud of. In all likelihood, you probably have some of those things in your life right now. This was the case at the wedding Jesus was attending. The groom, who was responsible for making sure that every guest had all they wanted, was out of wine. This was a big deal in that day because the way that a wedding was conducted and celebrated was symbolic of how well the groom was going to take care of his bride. Jesus, upon being approached with this situation, had a choice to make. He could have, at best, simply left because there wasn’t enough wine to go around, or He could have gone and told the master of the ceremony about what had happened. But Jesus, being full of grace and mercy, quietly and miraculously remedied the situation sparing the groom the shame and regret that would have inevitably befallen him. Jesus is offering you the same answer to anything that you may be dealing with in your life. He is not looking to humiliate or defame you in any way, He simply wants to bring you to a place of wholeness and victory. He is already aware of your situation, you simply have to give Him control of it. He wants to set you free from the fear, guilt, and shame that the enemy using to keep you from experiencing the fullness of your life in Christ. He wants you to experience His love and mercy in a new and fresh way. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
