Ribbon Cutting Held for Hopkins County Veterans Memorial

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held today for the Hopkins County Veterans Memorial downtown. The ceremony was attended by local officials and local veterans. The ribbon cutting included a presentation of a flag flown over the state capitol from Representative Dan Flynn in honor of the occasion.
Proceeds from the annual Hopkins County Freedom Ball are used for the upkeep of the memorial. This year’s Freedom Ball is coming up on Saturday, March 30th.
