John 2:1-2

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples.

As you come to the last half of your week you are probably already planning your weekend and you know how you’re going to spend it.  You may have plans that include others that you have invited or they have invited you. Have you ever not been invited? Have you wanted to be included but weren’t.  In reading this your mind may have immediately gone to a memory of when you were left out and how that made you feel.

In the verses above John is telling us about a wedding and he makes a point of telling us that “Jesus also was invited”. I just want to remind you that God is always wanting to spend time with you and there’s no pressure, He really, really, really loves to spend time with you and to hear what’s on your heart.

Pastor Joel spoke to us about the importance of signs trying to get us involved and inviting us to be a part.  God has given us a huge invitation to be involved with Him. He, like you, wants to be invited, He wants to be a part of your life.  Have you invited Him into it?  Have you invited Him not only into your heart but into your everyday activities?  Every morning I’ve made it a practice to say, “Good Morning God, Good Morning Jesus, Good Morning Holy Spirit, I want to invite you into every second of my day.   Thank You that You’ve told me You will never leave or forsake me.”  Then you can go on to share events and areas where you want to be sure He makes Himself known to you.  He like you doesn’t want to be left out.

God loves you!  God wants to have fun with you!  God cares about what you care about!

So finish your week strong by inviting Jesus into every part of it and you’ll be blessed more than you every thought or imagined.    Love and blessings, Pastor Bonnie
