Sulphur Springs Professional Firefighters Association Offering Five-$500 Scholarships to High School Seniors Planning to Pursue Careers in Fire Service

From Sulphur Springs Professional Firefighters Association:
The Sulphur Springs Professional Firefighters Association is pleased to offer 5 scholarships to selected high school seniors wishing to pursue a career within the Fire Service. Scholarships will be in the amount of $500.00 each and shall be paid directly to the Fire Academy of the individuals choice. Scholarships are open to seniors attending any high school within Hopkins County.
A student desiring consideration for a Sulphur Springs Professional Firefighters Scholarship shall complete the application form and attach required essay. The application shall be mailed to: SSPFA, P.O. box 1312, Sulphur Springs, TX 75483 on or before Monday, May 3, 2019. Applications postmarked after this date shall not be considered.
The Sulphur Springs Professional Firefighters Association Executive Board shall review the applications and select the recipients. The Executive Board shall forward the applications of the students selected to the appropriate person of the SSPFA who, in turn, shall be responsible for notifying the scholarship recipients.
Applications are available at the local High Schools.
