Hebrews 5:12-14
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.
Think about the last time you flipped through a photo album or came across a box with a bunch of old pictures in it. Did the people in the photos look the same as they did the several years prior when the pictures were taken? Of course not, as long as you live you will continue to develop and mature. The same should be true about you spiritually. You shouldn’t look the same today, as you did a few years ago. Your faith should be stronger, you should be growing wiser and more mature. Sadly, for many believers this is not the case, their faith has hardly grown or developed at all. Are you changing and developing in your faith? Do you look more like Jesus today than you did a year ago? If not, ask yourself why. Figure out when and why you stopped growing and then make the necessary changes to get back on His growth track. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
