A Country Christmas at the Lake at Cooper Lake State Park Coming Up December 7th and 8th

A Country Christmas at the Lake will be held December 7th and 8th at Cooper Lake State Park-Doctor’s Creek Unit. From 6 pm to 9 pm you can take a FREE drive through the decorated park. Santa will also be available for photos. Local artist Janis Diane will be performing live music from 7 to 8 pm.
On Saturday only there will be a “Love Those Christmas Cookies” ornament decorating activity at 10 am, an “O Christmas Tree” hike at 1 pm, a “Christmas Baking, Outdoor Style” Dutch oven cooking class at 3pm, and “An Icy Engagement” night sky viewing where you can take in the view as Saturn engages with the moon at twilight. at 5 pm.
If you enjoy camping, love decorating for the holidays and would like others to view your light display, then consider participating in this year’s Holiday event. Check in as early as Wednesday, December 5th. Sites must be decorated and lighted by 4 PM, Friday, December 7th. Check out is on Sunday, December 9th. Reservations, with a paid deposit, are required. Deposit will be refunded upon checkout. Specific site numbers are issued in person on a first come, first serve basis. All Day Use fees will be waived.
