Funeral Service for Faye Jenkins, age 88, of Dallas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ann Waggoner, Rev. Travis Tate, Lisa Patterson, and the Chaplain of Kindred Hospice officiating. Interment will follow at Peerless cemetery with Kenneth Patterson, Joey Patterson, Garret Patterson, Robert Brown, Kevin Patterson, and John Patterson serving as pallbearers. Casey Deason is an honorary pallbearer. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Jenkins passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at her residence.
Faye Jenkins was born August 27, 1930 to Perry Patton and Ollie Bell (Nash) Patton in Hopkins County. She married Robert William “Buddy” Jenkins on June 26, 1948 in Rockwall. Mrs. Jenkins was a housewife and a lifetime member of the VFW ladies auxiliary.
She is survived by daughters, Norma Wiley of Little Elm, TX, Brenda Newsom and husband, Loyd, of Cumby, TX, and Donna Patterson and husband, Joe, of Garland, TX; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Linnie Jo Simmons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jo Ann Vardell; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and eight brothers and sisters.
