Hopkins County Reads is a community wide year-long event presented by Sulphur Springs Public Library. Just as the new Downtown Plaza connects people to each other, Hopkins County Reads can connect our community by fostering an appreciation of books and promoting literacy through reading the same book. Sulphur Springs Public Library offers Storytime for Preschoolers on the first and third Fridays of each month at 10:30am. Miss Vivian’s themed storytimes offer stories, sing-a-long songs and follows the Very Ready Reading Program. This program offers 7 easy ways to help get your child ready to read! Sulphur Springs Public Library has a scholarship program for adults that want to complete their high school diploma and begin training for a career. Potential students are selected for the program after an assessment and interview. Courses are taught online, are self-paced and available 24/7.
