Sulphur Springs Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Accused of Hitting Female Victim in Head with Gun.

Sulphur Springs Police Department arrested 60 year old Stephen Roy Wyatt of Sulphur Springs late last night for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. 

Officers were dispatched to Rockdale Road in reference to a disturbance involving an assault. The victim advised officers that Wyatt hit her in the head with the bottom of a gun and chased her around with the gun. Officers observed the victim’s injuries and after investigation they believed Wyatt to be the aggressor.

Wyatt was booked into Hopkins County Jail and bond has not yet been set.
