Hopkins County Historical and Genealogical Societies Hold Annual Joint Meeting

The annual joint meeting of the Hopkins County Historical and Genealogical Societies was held August 23rd at the genealogy library. Paula Altenbaumer, member of both societies, presented an entertaining  & informative life history of Henry Stout, an early Texas and Hopkins County pioneer, as seen through the eyes of his first wife, Sarah Mary Talbot Stout. 

This was the first part of “his story” and the second installment will be presented September 27th at Heritage Park.  The second part will be told through the eyes of another family member, so you will not want to miss this to see what happens with Henry and Sarah. 

There were 55 attendees and light refreshments were served following the program.
