Michael Gene Poulter left this world on July 18, 2018; two days shy of his 82nd birthday. Gene; as he was known by his family and friends was born in Frost, TX on July 20, 1936. Gene worked in the cotton fields and gins while he was growing up and was a football star in high school.

As a young man, Gene worked for Convaire and Bell Helicopter, but country living called him, and he moved to north east Texas to go into the dairy business.

In semi-retirement, he drove trucks locally and cross country.

Mr. Poulter was preceded in death by sister; Zandra Poulter, mother; Freddie Poulter, father; Ralph Poulter, beloved wife; Dyann Poulter, and great-grandson; Stetson Dunsworth.

He is survived by daughter; LygiaDunsworth and her husband; Tim, son; Marcus Poulter, grandsons; Scott Dunsworth and his wife; Amber, Tim Rose, granddaughter; Baylee Walker and her husband; Grant, and great-granddaughters; Allie and Alayna.

The family wishes to thank the Legacy Hospice team; Cindy and Ester; for their loving care.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Emblem Cemetery with Bro. C.J. Duffey officiating.
