Vandals Damage Headstones at Weaver Cemetery After Weekend Memorial Day Service. $1,000 Reward Being Offered for Information Leading to Arrest.

Weaver Cemetery was reportedly vandalized after their Memorial Day service this weekend. Vandals knocked over and broke a large number of headstones along with burning the American flag. Hopkins County Sheriffs Office is investigating the incident. Hopkins County Sheriff Lewis Tatum and his officers are helping put the headstones back up. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Hopkins County Sheriffs Office.

A reward for information for information leading to the arrest is being offered. The following was posted on Facebook:

“My husband Alan Chester will be offering a $1000.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the ones responsible for the desecration of the Weaver Cemetery you can call 903-648-2335 .”
