Cooper Woman Arrested for Calling in Fraudulent Prescriptions to Walgreens

A 40 year old Cooper woman was arrested on Friday for calling in fake prescriptions to a local pharmacy. Sulphur Springs Police Department received a complaint last week about the fraudulent prescription and Special Crimes Unit began an investigation. Lindsay Goff was identified as the subject calling in the fraudulent prescriptions to Walgreens. Investigators interviewed Goff and she admitted to calling in fraudulent prescriptions for a controlled substance and picking the prescriptioin up. Goff was arrested and charged with Fraudulent Intent to Obtain Controlled Substance Schedule 3/4. This offense is a third-degree felony. Bond has not yet been set.
