Hopkins County Upgraded to Winter Storm Warning from Midnight Tonight until 6 PM Tuesday. School Closures Possible.

Winter Storm Watch has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning for areas along and south of a line from Goldthwaite to Hillsboro to Sulphur Springs from midnight tonight until 6 PM Tuesday. Wintry precipitation is expected across much of the region tonight through Tuesday morning with light accumulations of snow and ice possible north of a line from Sulphur Springs to Hillsboro to Goldthwaite and accumulations between one half and 2 inches possible south of this line. Since temperatures are expected to fall well below freezing tonight, hazardous travel conditions are expected.
