From the National Weather Service:

A strong arctic cold front will move through North and Central Texas Saturday with temperatures falling Saturday night and into New Year’s Eve. There will be a chance of light rain or drizzle behind the front, and as temperatures fall below freezing Sunday this may lead to icy conditions. This could create some travel issues, but please check back for forecast updates because freezing precipitation is not a certainty at this time. Otherwise wind chills will be in the teens Sunday evening for New Year’s festivities. High temperatures on New Year’s day will stay below freezing with lows in the teens.
