Funeral service for Wilma White, age 99 of Sulphur Springs, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Davis Street Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Hall officiating and Rev. C.J. Duffy assisting. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. White passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at her residence.

Wilma C. White was born on January 24, 1918 in the Greenpond Community, the daughter of Clarence and Ellen Formby.  She married Eldon Denny White on November 2, 1935 in Como Texas.  He preceded her in death in 2001.  Wilma was a member of Davis Street Baptist Church and a lifelong dairy farmer and housewife.

She is survived by her daughters, Martha Penton and husband Lon of Henderson, Nevada, Linda Abernethy and husband, Richard of Frisco, TX, Carolyn Permenter and husband, Cole of Sulphur Springs, Kathy Hudson and husband, Scott of Sulphur Springs, Teresa Weatherford of Sulphur Springs; son, Gerald White and wife, Pam of Sulphur Springs; daughter-in-law, Elaine Williams of Dallas; grandchildren, Carla White, Ricky White, Don White, Richard Abernethy, Jamie Dodd, James White, Joseph Goodman, Joshua Goodman, Amy Goldsmith, Tina Mobley, John Coleman; 19 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grand children.

Wilma was preceded in death by her two sons, Charles Edward White and Billy Don White; great grandchild, Sara Grace Goodman; sister, Leona Kimbrell.

 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
