CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs Welcomes New Surgeon

Sulphur Springs welcomed new surgeon Paul Michael Hines, M.D., FACS, to serve the patients of northeast Texas at the end of September.
“We are excited to add Dr. Hines to our already outstanding team at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs,” said Kristi Stern, Administrative Director of Surgery at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs. “He brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the clinic. He will be an invaluable asset toCHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System and an important resource in offering the highest levels of care to our patients here.”
Dr. Hines joins CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springsfrom his practice at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma. Dr. Hines specializes in general and peripheral vascular surgery, laparoscopy and surgical endoscopy (GI endoscopy). Dr. Hines earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Austin College before earning his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completing both his internship and residency at St. Paul Medical Center. Having held numerous committee chair and leadership positions throughout his career, Dr. Hines is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the Southwestern Surgical Congress and the Texas Surgical Society. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Association and is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
