Be sure you calendar is marked for the Tira Community Christmas Party, which is coming up on Saturday evening, December 9th. We will be sharing a meal and having a brief program. I’ve heard that Santa is planning to stop by and visit with the kids. Watch for more details to come soon.
The Tira City Council will meet on Tuesday, December 5th, at 6:00 p.m. Following the regular quarterly business meeting, the group will decorate the Community Center for the Christmas party. The public is always welcome and encouraged to attend.
Kim and Lee Beck will host a student film crew from NYU filming at their home over the weekend. Kim quips, “Should be a hoot!”
Regina Payton spent a few days with her mother, Martha last week. Martha shared, “We did our usual beauty shop, lunch and grocery shopping on Friday. Saturday was a day of small chores, friend’s visit and fundraiser sponsored by Posey Baptist Church. Regina returned home on Sunday morning and enjoyed the drive home.”
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope to have lots of news about family gatherings in Tira next week.
