Graveside service for Gail McCasland Crain, age 74, of Lake Jackson, TX will be held at 2:15 P.M. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Gafford Chapel Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, TX. Visitation will be held from 1 to 1:45 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home on Thursday, October, 5, 2017. Ms. Crain passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at her residence in Lake Jackson, TX.
Iris DeGail Crain was born on December 13, 1942 in Hopkins County, the daughter of Charlie McCulley and Eva Elizabeth (Wilburn) McCasland. Gail was a LVN at various hospitals and nursing homes throughout her career. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Ridgeway.
She is survived by her son, David Bart Ross of Quinlan, TX; daughter, Lisa Beth Dean of Lake Jackson, TX; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Roy McCasland of Sulphur Springs, TX.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Scott Ross; grandchildren, Brandon Riley and Christopher Riley; brother, William McCasland.
