Celo Dean Ferguson, age 89, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m.Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bruce Stinson officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery with the Hopkins County Military Coalition conducting military honors.  Michael Ferguson, James Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Mason Wilson, Ryan Ferguson and Dennis Fergusonwill be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hayden Wilson and Brendan Godwin. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home.   Celo passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Hopkins Place Assisted Living.  Celo was born January 16, 1928 in Dewey County, OK.  Celo was the son of Leslie Ferguson and Elsie Marie Webb Ferguson.  He married Betty Jeanice Newsome on August 19, 1948 in Wheeler, Texas.  She survives. Celo served in the U. S. Army. He was a machinist for Texas Instruments for many years.  Celo was a member of Central Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. He is survived by his son, Louis Dean Ferguson of Sulphur Springs, daughter, Wanda Wilson and husband Thomas, of Rowlett, TX, grandchildren, Amber Godwin of Lavon, TX, James Wilson and wife Trina, of Canton, TX, Aaron Wilson and wife Samantha of Terrell ,TX, and Michael Ferguson and wife Sandy of Sulphur Springs, great grandchildren, Alex Godwin, Brendan Godwin, Kaitlyn Wilson, Hayden Wilson, Mason Wilson, Ryan Ferguson and Sara Ferguson, brothers, Thurman Ferguson of Grand Prairie, TX, Kenneth Ferguson and wife Shirley of Elk City, OK, and Delmont Ferguson of Irving, TX.
