Funeral services for Rose Evelyn Golden, 87, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at East Caney Baptist Church with Rev. Cordell Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at East Caney Cemetery with Dennis Nash, Aubrey Nash, Kenneth Cork Jr., Chudney Beard, Britt Greer, and Eric Johnson serving as pallbearers. There will be no formal visitation. Evelyn passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Sunny Springs Health and Rehab. She was born on January 27, 1930 in the East Caney Community of Hopkins County, the daughter of Lank and Leona Lee Harrison. She married Homer Ray Golden, he preceded her in death in 1982. She worked as a cook at various restaurants from Kansas and Texas. She was a member of Morning Chapel MCBC. She is survived by daughters, Anita Golden, Merita Wade, both of Sulphur Springs, brother, Archer Ben Harrison of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Danny Wade Jr, Jacqueline Jackson, Adrian Golden, Tina Wade, Patrick Golden, Ebony Wade, LaQuanta Mass, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by her parents, six children, brother, Cleon Harrison, and sisters, Katie Ford, Lennis Garrett, Charlene Wright, Johnnie Gibson, Mary White, Fayola Harrison.
