Memorial service for Rod Bartley, age 58, of Yantis, Texas will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Pastor Benny Chaffin officiating.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Callan, Frank Thompson, Wesley Miller, Michael Davis, Billy Bob Stewart and Jeff Godfrey.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Mr. Bartley passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Lake Fork, Texas.

Rod Lee Bartley was born on May 5, 1959 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to “Pat” Vessie Lee Bartley, Jr. and Glynna Irvin Bartley.  Rod served in the U.S. National Guard and did bulldozer work.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Forrester; son, Patrick Leon Bartley of Topeka, Kansas; grandsons, Sim and Von Cooper; mother, Glynna Bartley and brother, Wade Bartley; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rod was preceded in death by his father and sister, Vicki Lynn Lankford.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
